Calling all students!
You can now use your hands in soccer! Well, almost. Introducing: Handball – a fun, fast-flowing game in which teams of six (guys, gals, and nonbinary pals) work to score as many goals as possible before the timer runs out. Players work together, passing and dribbling the ball to keep it from their opponents and win the point.
For most people and sports, it is extremely difficult to maintain an active lifestyle within their day-to-day life. Handball aims to solve this problem by having flexible hours for social and competitive games. This is especially great for students who are interested in playing a fun and thrilling sport whilst maintaining a high calibre of academic success. Even better, the sport helps improve strength, speed, and agility.
From social games to high-performance, there’s a game type for everyone and with the sport running all year round, there’s no concern of missing out.
Make life-long friends; find a sport that you will love – Handball is the right sport for anybody and with Auckland Handball’s Youth Program, students can learn to play for free. All you have to do is go to YMCA City in Auckland CBD on Mondays from 5pm to 7pm.
